Baileys low protein rice porridge (aka tired mom’s snack)



Yes, moms get tired too. And sometimes they need a treat.  So go ahead, treat yourself while kids are busy wrecking havoc somewhere nearby.


1 cup Loprofin rice

1 tbsp butter (unsalted)

1 tbsp Baileys coffee creamer or real Baileys liquor

1-2 fresh strawberries for garnish


In a  medium saucepan bring water to a rolling boil. Add low protein rice and stir to prevent it from sticking to the bottom. Cook for about 5min, untill rice is soft. Drain and place into a serving bowl. Stir in butter and Baileys. You can add strawberries for garnish or dice them and stir into the porridge. Trust me it is much better with strawberries than without them.
